Alison Rose

ALISON ROSE is a CT state certified teacher who began her ballet training at the age of 6.  Alison was a student of NYC Opera Ballet dancer, Dorothy Burdette, from childhood through her teenage years.  Through Burdette Dance Center in Danbury, Alison was given the opportunity to perform for 12 years in Danbury Music Centre’s annual Nutcracker Ballet, dancing many roles including those of Clara, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum Fairy.  Alison also studied with former European soloist Marthe Krueger in Wilton as a teen and was a member of The Danbury Ballet Company where she had the pleasure of performing in various productions.  Alison continued her dance education through Hofstra University’s dance program and has continued attending classes through adulthood in order to maintain proficiency and continually expand her knowledge of dance.  Alison has studied and enjoys other forms of dance, but ballet is her first and strongest love, and she enjoys passing on the appreciation of this beautiful art form to her students.
